Hours

Fast Cars, Fast women, and even Faster chase scenes!  This all star cast with The Rock, Vin Diesel, and Paul Walker brought the house down......wait, wrong movie.  Hurricane Katrina, so many stories, so little time.  I'm convinced that most of  the stories told about the depths of HK ground zero are embellished, but they do make great movies.  This movie was actually really good.  I cant imagine too many scenarios that would be worse than this.  The newly departed heart-throb Paul Walker in one of his last films plays a new dad trapped in the hospital by the wakes of Katrina.  Why is her there you ask?  Well it just so happens that his newborn is on a ventilator that cant be moved in time for the evacuation.  Well this is the part where everything starts going terribly wrong.  First off the staff abandons the place, then the storm hits hard, then the power goes out, then it gets worse.  The back up battery that is running the ventilation machine goes bad and by sheer luck Dad finds a manual crank generator.  Seems like things are going in the right direction for Mr. Handsome!  Well they are most definitely not!  The battery will only take a charge of 3 minutes at a time, so be prepared for a long night of crankin!  During these three minute intervals of life support, Dad has to rummage the place to find food, water, and anything that will help him get rescued.  Well bring on the looters, the crazies and the absent rescue workers, or not???  Give this a shot, I actually thought it was the best acting done by Walker and the story was kind of a Cast Away in a hospital setting.

FYI:  Paul Walker died 3 days before the release of this film.
