This will be only my third 5 star movie since last Dec. If
you havent seen this outstanding flick yet, get to it! Not only is the
cast great, but two member of the Water Park employee pool actually wrote and
directed it. One is Nat Faxon, who is in one of my favorite movies of all
time, "Beerfest". This is a story of an awkward young teenager
who goes to a beach house vacation with his Mom and her boyfriend and is pretty
much completely miserable until he finds Water Wizz! He becomes friends
with the manager (Rockwell) and begins to find his own. Sam Rockwell
completely kills his part and in my opinion makes this movie! You will
stay interested through the entire movie and realize that many of the
situations are all too real. This is one of those movies that is so close
to being perfect you start searching for things wrong with it. A must
see.
FYI: The title "The Way Way Back" refers to the
very back seat in the 1970's station wagons that were hidden in the trunk
storage area.
