If you havent heard about
this movie yet, you are living under a rock. My cliche of the day is
"This is my favorite movie!" This 3 hour extravaganza is again
a movie based on the true story of slime ball stockbroker Jordan Belfort. Most
of the movie is taken from his book regarding a 5 year span of his lavish life
of lies, sex with hookers, drugs, more sex with hookers, drugs, illegal
trading, drugs, sex with hookers, drugs and some more drugs. Leo is
outstanding and he has my vote for best actor this year. Jonah Hill was
amazing as well and has my vote for best supporting actor. The movie
reminded me of Goodfellas on Wall Street and inspires you to make a shit ton of
money! If you have ever been in sales, this movie will blow your mind and
make you feel really poor. Definitely go see this movie, then buy it and
watch it everyday.
(FYI-Wanting to work with Scorsese, Jonah Hill took a pay cut by being paid the SAG minimum, which
was $60,000)
